Refund policy
At Bower Bird Australia, we are committed to ensuring that our customers are satisfied with their purchases. However, please note that we do not offer returns. Our policy is designed to align with Australian Consumer Law and to make your shopping experience as seamless as possible.
Australian Consumer Law
As per Australian Consumer Law, we are not required to provide a refund or replacement if you change your mind. However, you are entitled to a refund or exchange if an item has a major problem. A major problem includes:
- The item has a defect that would have prevented someone from purchasing it if they had known.
- The item is unsafe.
- The item is significantly different from the sample or description.
- The item does not perform as it should or as you were led to expect, and the issue cannot be easily fixed.
If you choose to keep the item, we will compensate you for any drop in value. For minor problems, we will repair the item within a reasonable time. If it cannot be repaired within a reasonable time, you may choose a refund or replacement.
Returns Process
If your purchase meets the criteria for a return due to a major problem as outlined by Australian Consumer Law, please contact us at info@bowerbirdaustralia.com to initiate the process. Ensure that:
- Items are returned within 7 days of receipt.
- The return parcel is postmarked within 7 days of receiving your order.
- Items are returned in their original condition, including tags.
Please note that the cost of return shipping is the customer’s responsibility and is non-refundable. We recommend using traceable mail, as we cannot issue refunds or exchanges for items lost in transit.
Condition of Returned Items
All returned items will be inspected upon receipt. If the items have been used, worn, or damaged, they will be returned to the sender, and you will be notified via email that the return is not eligible for a refund or exchange.
Incorrect or Faulty Items
If you have received an incorrect or faulty item, please notify us immediately at info@bowerbirdaustralia.com with your order number and details of the issue. Upon confirmation, we will arrange for the correct item to be sent to you. Shipping costs in these instances will be covered by Bowerbird Australia.
